Thermate is a variation of thermite and is an incendiary pyrotechnic composition that can generate short bursts of exceedingly high temperatures focused on a small area for a short period of time. It is used primarily in incendiary grenades. The main chemical reaction in thermate is the same as in thermite: an aluminothermic reaction between powdered aluminum and a metal oxide. In addition to thermite, thermate also contains sulfur and sometimes barium nitrate, both of which increase its thermal effect, create flame in burning, and significantly reduce the ignition temperature[citation needed]. Various mixtures of these compounds can be called thermate, but, to avoid confusion with Thermate-TH3, one can refer to them as thermite variants or analogs. Because thermate burns at higher temperatures than ordinary thermite[citation needed], it has useful military applications in cutting through tank armor or other hardened military vehicles or bunkers. Interesting note : When confronted recently in a local restaurant by a curious truther asking Marc Loizeaux (president of Controlled Demolition Inc.) their professional opinion on the collapse of WTC on 911... Marc's son hesitantly replied that he hadn't seen the video, explaining that he was in Vegas at the time. Now I ask you... is it possible that anyone in the civilized world has NOT seen video clips of the World Trade Center collapse on 911? Especially considering that almost every news station around the world featured those clips for months if not years...and also considering demolition is your specialty and he says he hasn't seen the collapse of WTC ? How is that possible unless your blind or you're part of the cover up.
